Ok, so how do you top a Jay-Z and Kanye West show with floor seats? You go to the very next Jay-Z and Kanye West show with CLOSER floor seats of course!!
So, this show was the very next night, Row 19 Floor Seats, and with me already seeing the set list from last night, it was time to sit back and just enjoy the performances for what they really were. It dawned on me how cool it would be to travel with a tour to each city and see how each crowd in each part of the continent would react to a certain show. I’m sure the reaction in New York or Chicago would be different than in Toronto, but what about LA or Miami, or Atlanta? Might be something else to put on the bucket list…
Certain people thought I was crazy to go see the same show twice, but for the first time ever, and given the opportunity, I say “Why not”?
If there was anyone on the planet that I’d go see twice in two nights, it would be Jay-Z. Heck, if they put on a third show, I’d absolutely be there for the third one also. Part of it is my Stan complex, the other part of it is that you never know when that could be the last time you’ll ever see that performer live, the last part of it is that when you see a performer with his caliber of talent and his delivery and flow, I just have to see it live.
Kanye’s leather dress still ruined things for me the second time around. I just don’t understand what the heck he’s trying to say there. Leather dress and sneakers, huh?
Thank you again for a second great night.

Well Wow.
What more can I say?
How many things can I get off my bucket list? Well, to tell the truth, another Jay-Z show isn’t really on my bucket list, but a Jay-Z show in Madison Square Garden or Radio City Music Hall is definitely still on my bucket list!
So as many of you already know, I’m a bit of a Jay-Z Stan. No shame there. Seeing him perform live is more than just entertainment. It’s moving. To see someone who takes his craft so seriously, with such perfectionism, and is still able to make it look so effortless, it’s crazy. Sure, it’s just a guy on stage with a microphone and a bunch of lights, but what’s best is that at an early stage in his career, Jay-Z learned very well that his voice, his intonation, his breaths, were all part of the song. They were a whole other instrument contributing to the song on it’s own.
I was very happy to see this show with some good friends and some new friends. Even better is that we got to see up close and personal the likes of The Weekend, Chef Raekwon, and even Idris Elba!
Another even better part is that while we felt humbled because we were only Row 31 on the floors, towards the back of the floor seat section, Jay-Z opened the show RIGHT BESIDE US. How cool was it that my previous two other shows, I was Row 3 floors and had a chance to see him, every syllable, every eye movement, everything, and here he was tonight RIGHT BESIDE ME? Very cool indeed.
It was a great show overall. Kanye did well in his performance, I cannot hate on that. He did turn me off with his leather skirt, and there’s no fashion conversation that’s going to get me to give him a pass on the leather skirt, no way. If you get a chance to catch this show, it’s a MUST. When’s the next time if ever you’ll get to see these two on the same stage all on their own again?
Thanks Shawn Carter for a great show and another great memory.
I am Blessed.
