Welcome To Homee's Joint

I have to apologize that I haven’t posted pics of much anything thus far. (1) I’m a bit lazy and rushed to get this up, and (2) I’m still trying to figure out the most efficient way to get pics from a Blackberry on to an iPad. Suggestions are welcomed.
Ok, what an emotional roller coaster ride this has turned out to be. From one of the saddest days I’ve spent on this planet, to one of the Happiest days ever!
Today is Baby Brooklyn’s SECOND Birthday!!
OMG how time really DOES fly.

I guess all the cliches about watching your kids grow up almost overnight are totally true. I find it amazing at how smart she’s getting, how fast she’s figuring things out, and how clever he gets at getting/negotiating her own way.
There’s no question that she’s the priority in my life. There’s no shadow of a doubt that she is my pride and joy. When I look at what’s been given to me, as well as what’s been taken away from me in this life, she stands tall as the only focus when all is said and done.
We spent the day at the playground in the morning, and I got attacked by mosquitoes yet again. We had cupcakes for breakfast (after all, this is my daughter), and then went for dim sum with the whole family. After lunch we had to go home, open present (thank you Grandpa, GrandmaLouLou, and Unca Brent), and we blew out candles on MORE cupcakes. Then we had to pack up and get ready to fly from Edmonton to Vancouver.
How many 2 year olds do you know that get to use their last free flight to go from YEG to YVR? Or that get to use their free flights period? I always joke that Baby BK has more Airmiles than I do, but a sneaky suspicion tells me that it might actually be True! The beauty of all her flights is that she’s awesome on the plane, and if all else fails, all we have to do is whip out the Dora and Bear videos on her iPad, and she’s good with that.
Overall for a 2 yr old, it was a good way to spend a birthday with family. But don’t worry, there’s still an even bigger party celebration coming soon!
